The second oldest club on the Costa del Sol is Guadalmina which opened in 1959 as a nine-hole course.
The original South course was designed by Javier Arana, who extended it to a 18 hole par 72 in the late 1960s. The 10th and 11th hole of Guadalmina South run along the sea, and the course is bordered by well established trees.
The North course (18 holes, par 71) opened in 1973, and was designed by Folco Nardi. This course is gentler than its predecessor, but no less interesting, and it is quite tight in places.
